Water into wine

Little words,

it's time.

Like notes falling from my fingers onto the piano keys

or stars falling from your

eyelashes.

This part of the day is quiet,

uncomplicated

by the pouring rain.

Some prefer to

stay hidden and warm behind the glass.

It's just me,

soaking up all the beauty again

the words, the pictures ~

my mind

scooping it up like apples gathered in a basket.

Longing  for

days without the endless rain.

This house is full of storybooks you see,

words that although printed,

may never be spoken.

Words that say

no more rain or silences or unfinished love

without you knowing why

just a beautiful sunset over an Estuary

where the sun spills onto the water like wine.

Little words,

once more.

  1. How lovely to hear your words once again! :-) And I love the photographs.

Let me know what you think of The Book Thief. It is one I hope to read someday soon. I had it recommended to me by a classmate last year, and bought it with a book token.

Glad to hear you're soaking up the beauty. I am too :)

Love to you, my flower, as always.

Pretty misty stars

A sound of birds singing

It's early.  And almost a year since I was here. I hear a sound of birds singing  outside my window and a dog barking down the street. ...
