Sing me to sleep

Tonight,

all there
is,

is a lament.

A friend of ours died after a

really brief illness.

He was a good man,

and died full of years.

But that doesn't,

and never

stops a heart from hurting.

Does it.

  1. Aww darling, so sorry for your loss!
I lost a really good friend in March,
though it was to suicide and not illness.
I don't think my heart will ever stop hurting.
He was such a wonderful person.
My thoughts & prayers are with you!
    Love,
    Sarah

  2. I'm so, so sorry to hear that honey :'( I can't imagine the hurt you must be feeling right now. If I were with you I would give you an enormous hug. Instead I will have to give you a virtual hug *huuuuugggggssss* And consider yourself in my thoughts and prayers.

  4. Hello my beloved Kess!
I meant to text you today but life got in the way.
    I LOVED YOUR POSTCARD!
    Kess,
you mean the world to me.
    You really do.
You, are , without doubt, the sweetest soul on earth.
I looked at your holiday photo tonight,
and ( how weird is this?)
I felt as though we had met a hundred times.
Does that sound weird to you?
When we only know each other via the net?
    Funeral Thursday.
    * Sob*
Bloved will play the solo lament.

  5. Glad you liked the postcard sweetpea! :)

I know exactly what you mean when you say you feel we've met a hundred times. That's how I feel too.

You will both be in my thoughts on Thursday.

Pretty misty stars

A sound of birds singing

It's early.  And almost a year since I was here. I hear a sound of birds singing  outside my window and a dog barking down the street. ...
