Sweet Sunday

The sun rose quietly

and stole into my

waiting heart.

I listened to the sound of my husband

downstairs making coffee,

the scent

of the beans he was grinding,

 wafting upstairs.

Cooler air drifted in

through the attic windows

and I imagined I could smell Autumn.

This has been a wonderful

weekend of lovely things.

Breakfast out yesterday.

Movies we love

and books all over the floor.

Discussions about our trip to America

in 12 weeks time.

Laughter and love

and moons the colour of lemon juice.

I turn my head

imagining,

I can smell new fragile flower scents.

My head full to the brim with beauty ( and to write of it would take forever there is so much of it :)

Nights.

Early morning light.

Small jars, overbrimming with sweetpeas.

Dreamcatchers,

on my bed.

Many weekend hearts, dears.
