Strawberry fields forever

Around this time of year

I get a little panicky.

I know the 21st of June heralds

the descent into the dark nights of winter

and my spirit

( which is naturally drawn to sunny climes and sunny people)

sinks lower than the Titanic.

I don't have sad,

heck I don't even care for that word!

Add to that the fact that

I seem to have less and less time

for creativity,  it makes me a gloomy puss!

So,

tonight I decided enough was enough,

and here I am doing

what I've always loved most.

Writing down my thoughts.

I've also just paid a ridiculous sum of money

for a customised cover for my travel journal

that I intend on taking to America.

( Photos to follow, I'm smitten with it already.)

So...

tonight..........

I've thought about all the sweet things

I've loved over these

last few days

and decided to

be happy

and

stay amazed.

Oh, and

eat strawberries by the box.

They will be gone before we know it.

Happy Thursday, dears.

  1. America! Take me with you! Pretty please! I'm sure I'm small enough to fit in your suitcase! Lol

Like you, I much prefer the summer - the warmth and the sunshine. I appreciate the beauty of the other seasons, but something about this time of the year makes my heart lift!

Out of Africa is a wonderful book!

And I just loved this post!

  2. Hey my little sweetpea!
Oh the summer, this invisible summer....
I'm longing for long hot nights and our fire pit glowing late into the night..
( I have my dreams lol)
Now you know if I could take you to the States I would have you there in a heartbeat, don't you?
Did I say I would be gone for a * clears throat* MONTH?
Thank you for loving my words Kess.
You know how much it means to me.
    It really does.

Pretty misty stars

A sound of birds singing

It's early.  And almost a year since I was here. I hear a sound of birds singing  outside my window and a dog barking down the street. ...
