A whisper in a daydream

It made my heart happy,

I loved it all.

The sun twinkling through the trees, 

the love in their eyes,

that dress ( oh the dress! )

Love, 

what have any of us ever done

to deserve you ?

In this time, 

you come to us

through the vales of sorrow.

Japan.

Libya.

Recession.

You came,

and on your jewelled wings 

you brought the angel music,

the flags fluttering in the breeze~

a young man and woman

who in the midst of millions,

only had eyes for each other.

It was all so real, 

you see~

because if we have not love, what are we?

What do we become?

Love. 

Tangible.

Soaked into her simple, understated bouquet

so sweet, 

I almost imagined the fragrance.

In the middle of it all,

someone I love brought me a few stems of Lily of the Valley,

not knowing.

It filled this heart,

that already ached,

with love.

I loved it all.
