Here I am,
drinking in tiny droplets of light,
listening again,
to ELH, and wondering
why I have had this song on repeat for two days.
The slate grey sky drew the dawn in,
silently,
making a promise of love to it.
Doesn't it do the heart good to open
wide a window and let the gentle
Sunday morning breeze in?
Today is a day for a seaside visit.
We will leave soon and go to where the mountains are.
It will do the heart good to walk by the sea
because,
you see,
this winter still breathes.
It's a harsh time of year,
winter.
When the heart is longing for sun.
What happens deep within us
is worthy of our deep love.
Do you not think so?
Today I want to utter you,
and you alone.
To portray in you shades of green and gold.
Ah
but I know, I know;
there is no image I would dream up
that you,
your presence with me,
would not eclipse.
I carry your heart with me
I carry it,
in my heart.
Drinking
orange soda
Eating
a small apple
Dreaming of
our day out
Not giving apologies for keeping
song of the day the same as yesterday
Adding to my wish list
the Chinese lantern Thomas Sabo charm
Loving life
with all it's complexities
I've just read through all the posts I've missed. They took me back a week or so, and made me smile :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the seaside visit, and the mountains! I'm currently back home in the South West with my family, enjoying a week's annual leave.
Isn't it a joy to discover one of those songs you can listen to over and over again?
