In twenty ten
I walked the age old streets here
I turned a certain age,
I'm older than I would rather be
And no, that's not an old shot of me in 1945,
just a picture I found endearing.
I worked and worked and worked,
being a nurse and a mom
Nope,
I'm not in either of those shots either.
Came September and I got to see the city of my dreams
I ride a bike but that ain't me.
Tears of happiness flowed down my cheeks on this bridge
and this one
Then along came Christmas
and with it, this
A brand new Thomas Sabo bracelet from my darling.
In between the months,
happiness, sadness,
relationship breakdowns, snow, illness.
We survived it all.
I welcome you.
With open arms.
