River's edge
Tonight I went to a book thingy.
I'm not sure what it was really.
Have you ever seen this series?
It's based on the books by this man .
The one on the right of the photo.
We went to a screening of Dexter,
and then
fired questions at Jeff Lindsay, the author of the books.
Afterwards they gave us free samples of whiskey with sprite!
Interesting combo, heh heh.
Driving home
( not me ~I NEVER drink and drive )
the lights of the city twinkled on the river.
The sky was a Shepherds delight.
Oh I love words.
The people who write them.
Then,
this song came on the car radio.
I pulled over, locked the car, and
stood with my face cupped in my hands,
leaning on the river's railings.
Letting the night wash over me.
Oh this love,
this life.
Song lyrics, here.
