Beauty noticed
Good times,
come when we least expect them.
I battled in work today,
with fatigue,
heat,
restlessness.
That yearning
for the working week to be done.
I finished up around four,
and trudged up the hill to the staff car park.
I had a few errands to do,
and arrived home at five.
Why is it that the shower after work always seems
the nicest?
It's as if you are washing the day off.
( In this humble abode we call it our wash off shower. :)
It was such a beautiful evening I decided
to cut the garden hedge and our grass.
Bloved did the heavy stuff,
I brushed up.
Then,
I took another shower.
My third of the day.
I have a mild form of OCD ,
and I can't bear to feel dirty.
At all.
Later,
we,
( all newly soapied up and smelling three times clean with Dove soap )
stood at the back door on our patio looking at
the summer night.
Warm.
Quiet.
Still.
Loving the moments
when everything beautiful comes together.
Those ones when beauty was
seen ~
and the working week,
seemed far far away.
