I can see the pines are dancing

What do you do

when words are in your head

and they want to spill out like

smarties falling out of a smarties tube?

I was so full to the brim with

words today an ocean couldn't hold them.

I wanted to scribble in my journal

instead of looking after sick people.

I dreamt of the smell of salt water

and

all the beautiful waves that crash around our shores.

New songs that I've discovered every day

played in a virtual ipod in my head.

Photographs old and new went round

in a continual slideshow.

Why does everything in the world seemed

soaked in beauty to me?

People. Songs. Words. Coffee. Cherries.

If I had it all to do again

( much as I love the career I chose)

I would get my ass off to uni and write until my fingers

fell off.

No, really.

I would.

  1. Ahhhh! What a wonderful post, and so full of happiness! I loved reading this. It made my heart want to dance!

Oh, and the new header is fabulous! Summer is so close now I can almost taste it. It tastes like vanilla ice cream, coconut and citrus fruits, and smells like suncream and the saltiness of the sea.

I get days like this when I'm so full of words that I can't write them down quickly enough!

Hope you have a happy, funny weekend too, my little gem.

  2. Hello my precious Kess!
    I've been to ( don't faint ) church tonight.
My friends daughter is going on the 31st of July to trek The great wall of China .
The money raised will go to building orphanages in Africa.
Anyhoo, we sang and ( boy those pentecostals love to dance in the aisles.)
We came home, and had a glass of wine in the garden it was so balmy and still.
Then a huge moth flew into my hair and I went, screaming, back into the house.
    Tomorrow, a 21st birthday party!
    Kess,
    thank you.
Your words mean the world to me.
    They really do.

Pretty misty stars

A sound of birds singing

It's early.  And almost a year since I was here. I hear a sound of birds singing  outside my window and a dog barking down the street. ...
