The beautiful age

This week,

I wondered why the traffic was

so light as I drove to work.

Then I realised, most of the schools

have finished.

Exams all over.

18 somethings and 20 somethings with their lives

stretching out before them

like a long and winding road.

Graduations on manicured lawns,

small white bowls holding pretty little strawberries

smothered in cream.

It's a beautiful age.

The world,

waiting  at your feet.

Everything is new.

Like a babys first step.

A first kiss.

Colours that you see every day.

The beautiful age.

I'm hoping that someone will buy me this bag for my birthday.
That one up there. I've gone and fallen in love with it.
You can find them here.
Ridiculously expensive. * Shrug* :))
Can't decide which colour I'd like.
I've narrowed it down to two.
Red and brown.
Which one should it be?

  1. That is a gorgeous handbag! I like the red best, but I think you should base your decision on the number of outfits you have to go with the colour.

My graduation ceremony isn't until November. It'll be cold and gloomy then, but I know it'll be a day to remember. It really is a beautiful age, but sometimes quite overwhelming.

  2. Now, that is really spooky Kess.
My favourite was the red too! ( Gotta love the fact that our tastes are the same! )
Brown was the colour of my original school one, but the red draws me.
It's funky, and who cares if it doesn't go with all?
Kess, your graduation will be WONDERFUL.
I don't see it as gloomy at all.
I see it with sycamore trees, low lying mists, and graduands floating around with gowns on,
looking as though they should be on the way to Hogwarts.

Pretty misty stars

A sound of birds singing

It's early.  And almost a year since I was here. I hear a sound of birds singing  outside my window and a dog barking down the street. ...
