The feeling for snow
I see a golden sun
glinting over the ocean as I
drive home from the absolutely necessary
things I had to do today.
The snow had come again,
silent,
white,
beautiful.
The wind danced through my hair
creating garlands of frosty diamonds,
and that long lost loveliness of peace
had returned.
The snowflakes fell to the beat of my heart
and
I wished,
that I could have stayed in that moment,
forever.

It's been snowing here since Wednesday, and despite the inconvenience the adverse weather has caused, the snowfall has made the surroundings look so beautiful. Whenever I watch the snowflakes fall I am filled with a strange sense of nostalgia, anticipation and excitement.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've had your share of the snow too! You describe it all so perfectly, my darling!
