Autumnal tints

As I trudged wearily up the hill

from work on Friday I smiled a quiet smile.

Thankful for the golden burnt orange leaves

that danced around my feet

newly fallen,

from the hospital trees.

For good health,

( the dead van had just driven past me, the one that takes

people who have died away in :(

Thankful for a weekend that lay before me full of promise

and family and friends.

For my new copy of Henry David Thoreaus * Walden* that

rests gently on my nightstand.

I've been promising myself to read this book

since high school!

For my ever growing obsession with scented candles

(oh, I wish I could make my own and save our poor bank account :)

My favourite at the minute is * Christmas in Paris*

Last night my sister said our home smelled fantastic!

I liked that~

a lot.

This day of coffee and pears and smelling of hope.

Love and laughter

and the ties that bind our hearts.

My shoes feel filled with sparkles and I could dance till dawn.

All of these, my 10/10/10 autumnal hints,

of thankfulness.

I hope your Sunday is filled with small ones also, dears.

Every leaf speaks bliss to me,
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
