Alice moments

Travel journals,

practically a suitcase full of them~

lie scattered on my bedroom floor.

We have tipped into the other side of winter now,

all the lazy summer days have washed away

with the  milk moon tide.

Yesterday the fragments of our lives

came together when we met

at our local seafood bar,

the rest became history between the laughing

and reminiscing.

Everyone had pink cheeks

and eyes as bright as buttons.

Today then,

a day for small, quiet things.

Roasted chicken, winter potatoes

and books for whoever wants them.

Alice moments,

all.
