Not even a little shrivel around the edges.
Even on these crazy cold
February days.
Days when the wind slices through your coat.
I miss the open fire from our old house.
Oh the nights I spent there,
my dreams like pockets,
stretching.
Still,
I loved moments of today.
The laughter shared.
The never ending song of love that plays in my head
when I think of you.
I liked the light,
the sound of my friend in work
laughing at my daft jokes.
They way when she smiles it's a real smile.
The kiss I got last night.
That I'm happy where I am today.
In the moment.
