Days
The new day began with the sun
and the smell of woodsmoke.
Then, with
small prayers of thanksgiving,
we were gone.
Home, now.
Wine ,
white and chilled in frosted glasses.
Flags rippled against a blue sky while
honey bees dipped into flowers.
Taking the sweetness.
Sun shining,
on the water.
Days end.
