A shadow and a dream

Honestly,

I can't remember

when I first heard his music.

think it might have been

when I was driving home from

from work one night.

Wait.

Strike that.

think it might have been

when I was driving home from

from work one night.

It was the day of the funeral of Princess Diana.

Like the rest of the UK I

was in total denial

and shock.

I came home late

and as I entered

our more than ever,

silent home;

( even my two small sons were silenced)

I heard this.

It hung on the air

and I imagined the notes were

falling on my shoulders

from Heaven.

I stood in our hallway and watched as Diana

was carried down the great aisle of that wonderful Church

watching my sons

watching hers

walk behind her

as angels carried her on their wings

to rest.

Later ,

I sourced every piece of music he had ever written.

And loved every one.

Even the wacky ones.

Now,

he has gone too.

I'll never forget

how for one small moment that day

he let Heaven,

fall on my shoulders

You can read about him here , here  and here.

Have a wonderful Heavenly chord filled weekend, dears.

A sound of birds singing

It's early.  And almost a year since I was here. I hear a sound of birds singing  outside my window and a dog barking down the street. ...
