Waiting for November

Waiting for November ~

it brings December closer.

I love these last two months of the year.

The windows of the shops twinkling,

and a continental market that comes to our town.

On my way to work this week

I spotted the first frost.

Sparkling,

glistening leaves.

I walked down the same hill to work with

cold fingers wrapped around my favourite coffee mug.

The yawning beauty of the hills

overwhelmed me.

Pumpkins dotted in doorways.

Every lovely sense was heightened.

It's been a gentle week

with the soft glow of candles in the evenings,

and smoking spirals of the chimneys on my drive home.

I wonder does the beauty of this life

music

art

coffee

frost

equal the soul peace for you

as it does for me?

Holy, holy, holy.

All this

and the ever ever faithful

scratching of my pen on paper.

Have a wonderful weekend, dears
